Lake Edge offers so much for our guests – from the peace and tranquility of relaxing with a good book, to taking in water activities and enjoying beautiful Katchewanooka Lake. Some guests enjoy the downtime of unscheduled relaxation – whether it’s on the dock, out on the water, or by the bonfire at night! Others prefer to be on the move – canoeing, boating, fishing, swimming, hiking...the list goes on and on. And wintertime brings many great opportunities for singles, couples, and families looking to get away!
Even when the park is closed for the winter you can still hike the trails on foot, snowshoe or x-country ski. During the summer wear your bathing suit and take a dip in the Indian River.
Petroglyphs Provincial Park
Wonderful trails for use year round. Do spend the fee to visit when petroglyphs are open for viewing between May and October. It is worth every penny to see this ancient place.
Robert Johnston EcoForest
A wonderful hike through a mixed forest and a heart pumping climb up the drumlin for a view.
Mark S. Burnham Provincial Park
Some of the oldest stand of trees in Ontario. A great place for a hike on the way to or from Lake Edge Cottages.
Walk or bike through the village of Lakefield, along the Otonabee River and through the Marsh.
